About our South William Street restaurant
Spice of India South William Street sits in the heart of Dublin 2's Creative Quarter, just off Grafton Street. The room is small, warm and busy, a proper city-centre Indian restaurant where the kitchen runs hard from lunch through to late dinner.
We cook everything to order. Tandoori dishes go straight from the clay oven to the table. Curries are built one pan at a time. There are no shortcuts and nothing pre-portioned.
Lunch, dinner and late orders
Lunch is popular with the offices around George's Street and the Powerscourt Centre. Dinner is the busy service, book ahead at the weekend. We also do takeaway and collection right across Dublin 2 and the surrounding city centre districts.
Delivery across Dublin city centre
We deliver throughout Dublin 2 and into Dublin 1, Dublin 4, Temple Bar, Portobello, Ranelagh and the Docklands. Order through the website and you will see a live status from when the kitchen accepts the order until the driver is on the way.
What to order
Regulars usually go for the lamb rogan josh, the butter chicken, the lamb biryani and the garlic naan, but the chef-specials section is where the kitchen has more fun. If you have not had proper South Indian food before, ask the floor for a recommendation when you sit down.
